Our Purpose

The Hurstpierpoint Residents Association has been set up to further the interests of those living in Hurstpiepoint, particularly those living in those areas managed by housing associations in the north end of the village, aligned with Cuckfield Road and around Willow Way.

The formal aims of the association can be viewed in the constitution, however in simple terms our responsiblity is to make sure that you, the resident/tenant are able to live in a comfortable, well-maintained environment, with practical access to local amenities.

This means that we are working on your behalf to ensure that the village where you live is attractive, with properly cared for houses. We are here to help you ensure safety for yourselves and your families and to avoid harrassment and anti-social behaviour in all its many forms.

We represent your needs in relation to Downland Housing Association, Hurstpierpoint Parish Council and Mid Sussex District Countil as well as many other local groups such as the 'Community Partnership' and the local Police.

In addition to this we aim to enhance a feeling of community in this area and in the village as a whole by organising social activities - days out, sporting events, and discos. We are open to new ideas too.

Although we work with local Members of Parliament on your behalf we have no political bias and we have a strong commitment to equality.
