Kitchens

All the tenants who were promised kitchens in 2007 and are still waiting should begin to get the kitchens fitted in 2008. We have been told that the money allocated for new kitchens has run out for 2007/2008, but there will be more money available in 2008/2009, from April 1st. According to downland everyone has had a stock survey done on their house to ascertain what jobs need doing in the near future, one of these is, obviously, kitchens, but if you didn’t have a surveyor come to your house last year to do a check on the condition please can you ring the switchboard at Downland and ask when they are coming to your house, especially if you think that you are entitled to a new kitchen or bathroom and no one has been to see you. For all those who were promised a kitchen and didn’t get one, keep ringing Downland to find out when you are likely to receive it.
